Meltech Building Services was created to meet the growing demands of potential new homeowners that desire an "open book" project management process. Today's new homeowners are savvy professional people who wish to be involved in every phase of having their home constructed, yet due to busy lifestyles, they do not have the time to invest in checking every minute detail that is involved in the building process. By utilizing our services, we will provide them with a sound economical alternative to traditional 'contractor' built homes and ultimately they will benefit, both financially and time wise, by utilizing our project management style of construction.
Our transparent "open book" philosophy of project management sets us apart from the general contractors and sub-contractors. With our philosophy, you definitely "get what you pay for, and pay for what you get". With other processes such as quotes and/or contracts, you're never quite sure if you've received what you paid for. Utilizing our project management style, you see all of the invoices, so you know exactly what you've received BEFORE you process the payments. This approach fosters an open and honest relationship between the homeowner and Project Manager, ensuring that all sub-contractors are being paid on time for the work they have completed. Nothing is left to "chance".

Gordon T. Melvin is a Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) and a member in good standing of the New Brunswick Society of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists (NBSCETT). He has a Civil Engineering Technologist Diploma from the New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) Moncton Campus and is a Gold Seal Certified Project Manager with the Canadian Construction Association. Gordon has been a Certified Engineering Technologist for 20 years, specializing in Construction Estimating, Project Management, Site Supervision and Inspections. His vast knowledge from having worked in a wide variety of residential, industrial and commercial settings as well as earthwork, concrete and road building projects, gives him a solid base upon which to manage all phases of construction wisely.
From his past business experience, Gordon realized that in today's marketplace, new home owners are looking for alternative methods when sourcing available contractors for the construction of their homes. Many are becoming disillusioned with the old standards and desire a more "open book" policy where every aspect of the building process is up front, clearly outlined and completely accounted for.
